Privacy Policy

This policy explains how DumpsBook and the connected ExamEngine application may collect, use, protect, and share information when you browse the storefront, create an account, purchase a product, use the Practice Exam Engine, access the encrypted PDF viewer, or contact support.

Important: Store operator legal identity has not yet been published from Admin. Configure it before activating the live public domain.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the DumpsBook public storefront, customer account and checkout flows made available through the connected application portal, Practice Exam Engine sessions, licensed browser-based PDF viewing, order and license management, support interactions, and related security or operational services.

Third-party websites, certification vendors, payment processors, analytics providers, or external services may have their own privacy policies. Their practices are governed by those policies.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account details such as name, email address, login credentials, and account preferences.
  • Billing and order information necessary to create, verify, and service purchases.
  • Support messages, attachments, troubleshooting information, and other communications you submit.
  • Optional profile, business, or contact information that you choose to provide.

Information generated through use

  • ExamEngine activity such as session identifiers, exam/product identifiers, progress, review state, answers submitted to the practice system, timestamps, and feature usage.
  • License and entitlement information for purchased products, including product type, activation state, access start/end time, permitted services, and security events.
  • Browser, device, IP address, operating system, user-agent, session, and diagnostic information used for authentication, fraud prevention, security, compatibility, and service operation.
  • Storefront interactions such as pages viewed, search activity, product navigation, referral data, and basic analytics where enabled.

3. How we use information

  • Provide and authenticate customer accounts.
  • Process orders, validate entitlements, and provide purchased ExamEngine or licensed PDF-viewer access.
  • Operate practice sessions, progress/review functions, customer dashboards, and related learning features.
  • Prevent account abuse, unauthorized sharing, license circumvention, fraud, automated scraping, and other security threats.
  • Provide customer support, diagnose errors, and maintain service reliability.
  • Maintain transaction, accounting, security, and compliance records.
  • Improve catalog navigation, storefront usability, product presentation, and application performance.
  • Send service, account, license, order, security, or support communications. Marketing communications, where used, should follow applicable consent and opt-out rules.

4. Payments and transaction information

Payment processing may be performed by one or more payment service providers selected for the store. Payment providers may collect card, wallet, bank, fraud-screening, billing, and transaction information needed to authorize or settle payment.

The storefront and ExamEngine application are designed to rely on payment-provider tokens or transaction references rather than treating complete payment-card numbers as ordinary application data. Exact payment-provider handling depends on the gateway configured for the store.

We may retain order identifiers, payment status, amount, currency, product/package, discount, tax, refund status, and transaction references needed for customer service, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

5. Practice Exam Engine and licensed PDF viewer

The PDF product is a licensed browser-viewing service. Unless a particular product page expressly says otherwise, purchasing the PDF Version does not promise a downloadable PDF file. The protected viewer may use encryption, authenticated sessions, access-expiration times, entitlement checks, and other controls intended to limit unauthorized copying or sharing.

For security and licensing, the application may process activation records, account identifiers, session timestamps, access-expiration information, browser/device characteristics, concurrent-session information, and security events. These records help confirm that access is being used within the purchased license.

Practice Exam Engine activity may be associated with your account to support session continuity, review, progress, scoring or performance features where enabled.

6. Cookies, sessions, and analytics

Essential cookies or similar storage may be used for login sessions, shopping-cart continuity, CSRF/security controls, preferences, and other functions required to operate the site. Optional analytics or marketing technologies should be enabled only in accordance with the store's consent and regional requirements.

You may be able to control non-essential cookies through browser or site settings. Disabling essential cookies can prevent login, checkout, licensed viewing, or other core functions from working.

7. When information may be shared

Information may be shared with service providers that support payment processing, hosting, email delivery, customer support, analytics, security, backups, or other operational functions. Providers should receive only the information reasonably needed for the service they perform.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, court order, lawful government request, protection of rights or security, investigation of fraud or abuse, or a business restructuring such as a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Customer personal information is not intended to be sold as a standalone data product.

8. Data retention

Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account and license history, support orders and refunds, meet accounting/legal requirements, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain security records. Retention periods may differ by data type and applicable law.

Some records may remain in backups for a limited period after deletion from active systems.

9. Security

Administrative, technical, and application controls may include authenticated sessions, role-based administration, encrypted transport, password protection, CSRF controls, logging, license checks, restricted administrative routes, backups, and other safeguards. No Internet service can guarantee absolute security.

If you believe your account or license has been compromised, change your credentials where available and contact support promptly.

10. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or information about certain processing. Some requests can be limited where records must be retained for transactions, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or legitimate security purposes.

Account and support channels should be used to submit privacy requests. Identity verification may be required before a request is completed.

11. Children

The storefront and professional certification-preparation products are not designed as services directed to young children. If the operator becomes aware that information was collected from a child in violation of applicable law, appropriate steps should be taken to delete or otherwise address it.

12. Policy changes and contact

This policy may be updated when products, payment methods, licensing controls, legal requirements, or business practices change. Material changes should be reflected by updating the policy page and, where appropriate, notifying account holders.

For privacy questions, use the support/contact channels linked from this storefront until a dedicated privacy contact is configured for Store #1.
